A press campaign and political actions
  • Since 1990, Turkey has dominated the Turkmen political system, exploiting it in favor of Turkish interests
  • Turkey prevents the establishment of an independent general Turkmen council
  • Turkey’s dominated the Turkmen council, was closed by the Turkish embassy in Baghdad in May 2011
  • Turkey’s Turkmen policy is the main cause of failure of Turkmen politics and the relapses of Turkmen people,
  • To inform the Iraqi, Arabic and the international community about this inhuman Turkish policy, a press and political action campaign will be waged in 5 stages and under the following title:
Turkey should «Respect the political will of the Iraqi Turkmen»

Campaign: Turkey should respect the political will of the Iraqi Turkmen
Objective: To liberate the Turkmen politics from the hegemony of the Turkish state
Approach: To enlighten the wrong and the illegal practices in the Turkey’s Iraqi Turkmen policy, which is considered the main cause of failure of Turkmen politics and the relapses of Turkmen people
Method:
  • Publications, such as articles, posters … etc.
  • Interviews with government officials, politicians, press and experts on Iraqi issues
Campaign stages:
  • 1st stage: limiting the activities to the Turkmen politicians and intellectuals
  • 2nd stage: addressing the Turkmen and Turkish speaking communities
  • 3rd stage: Opening to the Iraqi community
  • 4th stage: opening to the Arabic and Islamic countries
  • 5th stage: opening to the international community
Means: Direct interviews and use of all types of media and social network
